GPS Machine Control Grade Work

Our Machine-control systems are designed to assist such machines as:
  • Compactors
  • Dozers
  • Hydraulic excavators
  • Motor graders
  • Scrapers
With GPS, these machines will more efficiently cut and fill to grade. Efficiency is enhanced, because skilled Norwood Construction operators always know two essential bits of information—where the machine is located on the site, and the position of its work tool in relation to the final grade.

Trackhoe

Also known as an excavator, the trackhoe is probably the most commonly used machine in the Construction Industry. There are many uses of an excavator:
  • Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
  • Demolition
  • Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
  • Forestry work
  • General grading/landscaping
  • Lifting and placing of pipes
  • Material handling
  • Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
  • River dredging
Whatever your Trackhoe/excavator needs, Norwood Construction can handle it for you.

Dozer

Our bulldozer is equipped with a substantial metal plate used to push large quantities of soil, sand, rubble, or other such material during construction or conversion work and typically equipped at the rear with a claw-like device to loosen densely compacted materials.

Ponds

Whether you need a pond on your land for livestock or a decorative water feature in the back yard, Norwood Construction will help. We have the experience and qualifications necessary to build you a quality pond taking into consideration topography, soil type and water supply.

Site Work

Before you build on a property you’ll need the site prepared. This usually includes grading, excavation, construction and installation of septic tanks and filtration systems, driveways and other utilities. Norwood Construction has over 20 years’ experience performing site work for all types of commercial and residential applications.
